ALL WE NEED IS LOVE ART CAMP for Ages 4-7. June 15-18. (FULL and CLOSED.) Story and circle time will feature lots of diverse and age appropriate books about racial diversity, love, kindness, tolerance, and acceptance. We’ll get inspired by different kinds of art (paintings, murals, sculptures, assemblage) from racially diverse artists, then we will get to work expressing our thoughts and creating our own pieces! We will make use of lots of outdoor time and space and make large scale, messy pieces like murals, splatter, tie dye, stencil, and sidewalk art. And always lots of art, poems, music, songs and discussions about love and acceptance. For Ages 4-7; Mon- Thurs., June 15-18, from 8:30am-12:30pm at SECC, 516 Teller St; $60

CREATIVE DRAMA FRIENDSHIP CAMP for Ages 4-7. June 22-25. Creative Drama brings together stories, theatre games, visual art, music, poetry, and puppets. Story and circle time will feature age appropriate stories and songs about racial diversity, acceptance, and friendship. We’ll learn and play lots of theatre games, listen to and write stories about love and acceptance, paint sets and props, and act out stories using ourselves and puppets. And always lots of art, poems, music, songs and discussions about love and acceptance. For ages 4-7; Mon-Thurs., June 22-25, 8:30am-12:30pm at SECC, 516 Teller St.; $60

RESPECT DIVERSITY- ART CAMP for Ages 8-12. July 6-9. (FULL and CLOSED.) Story and circle time will feature lots of diverse and age appropriate books about racial diversity, love, kindness, tolerance, and acceptance. OUR SHARED HUMANITY- MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP for Ages 8-12. July 13-16. This week will focus on musical theatre plays, songs, and stories. We will discover and dialogue about scenes and music from the musical theatre canon with themes of racial diversity, struggle, tolerance, kindness, acceptance, peace, and hope. We will read scripts, learn music and choreography, and put it all together for an inspiring and hopeful outdoor/amphitheatre style review. For Ages 8-12; Mon-Thurs.; July 13-16, 8:30am-12:30pm at SMCS E St. Campus; $60.

Salida Creativity Lab proudly presents the 5th annual season of summer art and theatre camps for children! Explore art, theatre, dive into an imaginative theme using literature, visual arts and crafts, drama, movement, and music! Explore art mediums and techniques as you paint, draw, create, or perform. Learn about famous works of art or literature. Bring imaginative themes to life as you read and act out stories, play theatre games, explore costumes, or face paint! Registration begins March 1.

Please bring to camp each day: Campers need to bring morning snack, a lunch, water bottle, and sun hat each cay. (Campers age 4-7 should also bring a change of clothes in a backpack daily.) ***No nuts or nut products please. To register: Complete and return Registration Form and Medical Emergency & Release Form  with $15 deposit per camp, and mail to Salida Creativity Lab, P.O. Box 182, Salida, CO 81201.
